10 Things I Will Do as Your Coach (WARNING: some shade may be thrown in this caption)

As your trainer and nutrition coach, here are some things I will be doing:

  1. I will be eating real ice cream and deserts- I can’t tell you how much it irks me when a coach takes pictures of others enjoying a normal cookie but they have to wait until they can have a protein version. I’ll be eating both and I’ll encourage you to do the same. Everything in moderation.
  2. I will be taking rest days- the “no days off” mentality is not sustainable and will backfire either through burnout or injury but likely both. I will always try to get in steps, but lower activity days are necessary for recovery.
  3. I will be open to changing my mind as the science evolves- in my field, studies are always being done and new info is always being found. I will do my best to weed through the bs and give you the best.
  4. I will live a life outside of fitness and share that with you- I’m a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend and a trainer/business owner. I’m not JUST a fitness account. I’m Nicole and I will share my life.
  5. I will share struggles- I’m human. I’m going to have highs and lows. This is not my highlight reel.
  6. I will probably say something you don’t agree with- that’s part of life. We don’t have to agree on everything to be respectful.
  7. I will ignore scammy messages- “Hi Nicole! Love your content. How long have you been coaching?” “Hi Nicole! Your content looks great but I can take it to the next level. How many clients do you have?” Look business coach Brad, you don’t have a clue who I am. Bye.
  8. I will call you out- if you hired me to get you where you want to go but your actions aren’t lining up after months, I will give you the facts. I’m not here to be a yes man, I’m here to get you where you want to go.
  9. I will have all the empathy in the world, to an extent- see number 8
  10. I will be 200% in your corner- I will fight for you, I will spend time stressing over you, I will never give up on you unless you give up on yourself. We are a team, I will be there for you.
